7. What do you like most about Skyview High School? It’s intensity in sports while also having good classes. I like the atmosphere of the school too, it feels like home.

13. From who or what do you draw your inspiration from? I get inspiration from my family, friends and coaches. They’re always there to help me get through the tough times which I’ve had a lot of with injuries and such. They inspire and motivate me to keep going and not let the pressure affect my performance.

Track and Field in Vancouver, WA.
Rachel McQuivey signed her NLI to run track for BYU-Provo. She was recruited for the 300 hurdles, and will be advancing to the 400 hurdles at the collegiate level. This year Rachel hopes to decrease all of her times and take the State title in the 300H. She looks forward to what her last year as a storm athlete will bring.
On Friday, February 4th 2011, Kevin Boyd signed his letter of intent to run Track for Columbia University next fall. Kevin, who underwent ACL reconstructive surgery after a football injury last fall went on to swim in the state meet as well as place 6th at state in the 400 m in track. With a consistent GPA of 3.9 he is looking forward to running for the Columbia University Lions in New York City. Columbia is a member of the Ivy League and he is looking forward to the challenge of the academics available to him as well as the caliber of athletes he will come up against.
